Inktober 4 - astral portal

Before I proceed, just want to get it out there that I am NO EXPERT. Although I have been drawing since forever, I am not a professional, so my critique is based only from personal experience as a art lover.

First of all, it is a beautiful work, the idea is nice, Lines could be a bit more cleaner though, I feel like you should experiment with more line weights?

Second, the subject is lost, if I didn't read the title, I would never have guessed that the focus would be the waterfall, the dark shadows on the cliff side are more prominent. It would be a good idea to make the lines bolder near the waterfall, and then gradually fade out.
